Instructions
A delicious and comforting winter recipe!
In a non-stick frying pan, brown the slices of country-style bread in butter.
Add the crushed garlic cloves to flavour the butter. The bread slices should be golden and crunchy.
Slice the red onion and the fresh Tomme cheese thinly. Slice the potatoes. On each slice of bread, layer the potatoes, red onion, raw ham, fresh Tomme and top with crushed walnuts.
Drizzle walnut oil over top and season with coarsely ground pepper.
Grill in the oven for 5 minutes or for 2 minutes in a microwave at 800 W.
Accompany the open-faced sandwiches with an endive salad seasoned with cider vinegar and walnut oil, to which you can also add a few red apple chunks.
This is the ideal recipe for lunch on the slopes, especially when you plan to head out again afterwards!
