Just like many Western people, I had for a long time some prejudices about tofu. At that time, I had never even seen some. I only had heard about the lack of taste of this soja paste.
Having a closer look to it didn’t help my case… The first contact I had with tofu was quite similar as the one I had with sushi, I hated the simple idea of eating something raw and even more raw fish. I saw tofu of the first time tofu in a miso soup, it looked like some smooth white pieces of something.
Trying it was some kind of revelation ! It gives the miso soup a nice feel. Tofu can have different aspects : silky to cook cream dessert and hard to fry it, make marinade or more generally to mix it with other ingredients that will give it taste.
I also tried a delicious tofu burger! This is a classic in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Tofu is very healthy with a lot of proteins, minerals and vitamins. Salty or sweet, you should adopt it!
