10 tips to enjoy your holidays!

1) Change the routine to escape from everyday life

Holidays are all about that! We break the routine to do things we don’t do everyday because of lack of time or because we keep them for quieter moments.

2) Determine the purpose of the holidays to chose the location and the activities

A holiday with our lover, our friends, our family, to discover, to visit, to rest or to do sport activities… We must decide this before, to organize at best and make our holidays most enjoyable.

3) Book ahead and leave serene

Especially if the holiday dates are not flexible and we really intend to spend them away from home. Even if a long distance travel does not guarantee better holiday time.

4) Define the budget ahead to avoid going overdraft

We know it well, when we are on holidays, we are relaxed and we tend to put easily our hand to the wallet. So, to not be surprised we must define an “holidays budget”: strict to be not exceeded but enough to enjoy as it should.

5) Prepare the suitcase carefully to be sure not to forget anything

When we talk about holidays we obviously talk about packing a suitcase too! And this can be stressful! So the easiest then is to make a list. There is no risk to forget our MB Positive to rehydrate and our bento boxes to eat wherever we are during the time away!

6) Get the car checked to avoid bad surprises!

What worse than breaking down on the holiday highway? So, to leave with a mind at peace, do not hesitate before the D-Day, to get a complete check-up of the faithful “carriage”. Ready for the ride!

7) Make a last check at the weather before closing the suitcase

This step often allows to add a last pair of shorts, or slip in halfheartedly a light raincoat that was neither on the list or in the program…

8) Disconnect to relax

Leave phones, work computers, e-mails, internet behind and just keep a camera to capture all the precious moments and come back with lots of memories! All you need! 😉

9) Forget life schedules and enjoy the day

With or without children, we forget day-to-day schedules for meals and bedtime and live each hour at a time without stress!

10) Leave room for the unexpected to really feel we’re on holiday

Accomodation and main activities are booked, but for the rest, forget the planning and do things as you feel and as it comes! That is real freedom!
