bento recipe: potatoes and bacon strips

A french idiom says that when you have appetite, everything is alright! At monbento™ we are good eaters and we have a big appetite!

 

This Friday I took potatoes, red cabbage, beetroot crisps and bacon crisps in my monbento™ box!

 

That’s not the most dietetic meal ever but it tastes good and it is important to enjoy what we are eating as long as we’re not doing it too much!

 

For the potatoes and bacon strips, you need:

–          3 small potatoes.

–          Herbs.

–          3 bacon strips.

–          Oil, salt and pepper.

 

Start by peeling your potatoes and then cook them in water. Once they are cooked cut a small piece to put salt, herbs and a bit of oil and then roll around the potato a bacon strip.

 

For the beetroot crisps:

–          A piece of fresh beetroot.

–          Oil.

–          Pepper and salt.

 

Cut the beetroot in slices as thin as possible and fry them in a pan with oil. Once fried put them on a paper towel. Add pepper and salt.
