
Ingredients
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 small grated potato
- 1 small handful of grated Comté cheese
- 1 egg
- 80 g (2/3 cup) flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150 ml (2/3 cup) milk
- Salt and pepper (optional, depending on the child’s age)
- Oil for the waffle iron
- Cream cheese
- 1 portion of dessert
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the egg, milk, grated cheese, salt and pepper.
- Add the flour and baking powder, then stir in the grated vegetables and cheese. Mix well.
- Preheat the waffle iron, lightly oil the plates, and pour in a portion of the batter.
- Cook until the waffles are golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and cut into pieces that fit into the main compartment of the Tresor lunch box.
- Add a portion of spreadable cheese in one of the small containers, and a crumble or other dessert in the second container.
Everything’s ready to be packed into the Tresor lunch box: sliced veggie waffles, creamy cheese to spread, and a sweet little treat. A fun, balanced and delicious lunch! Tip: If you have too many waffles, you can freeze them. They’re easy to reheat in the toaster!
