During the last few days it was hard not to hear about the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. 60 years reign is something to celebrate!
When talking about portable meals, the 10 000 randomly selected guests’ picnic in the Buckingham Palace gardens was a good example! Those people had been invited to share a picnic made by a special chef.
The meal was prepared by the 3-starred chef Heston Blumenthal. The picnic basket contained the « Diamond Jubilee Chicken », « Potted Smoked Salmon » and a crumble with strawberries from one of the royal residences.
Even Charles and Camilla came to this hors pair event.
To finish off the evening, the picnic was followed by an amazing concert with Robbie Williams, Will.I.am, Kylie Minogue, Paul McCartney and Elton John.
